Cancer Clinic Renovation News

The Henry-Joyce Cancer Clinic at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center is the middle of a major renovation and expansion. When this project is completed in 2009, we will have doubled our square footage, the number of rooms for exams and consultations, and the number of chairs for giving chemotherapy.

New Entrance, Registration and Clinic Space

Some key points to remember:

  • Parking will move to the South Garage. (Those who wish to park in the Central Garage may continue to do that.) Valet parking will be available in front of the Cancer Center and at the main entrance of the Vanderbilt Clinic.
  • The main entrance will switch to the Cancer Center (on Pierce Ave.), though patients may continue to enter through The Vanderbilt Clinic entrance if they prefer.
  • There will be a new central registration desk with six welcome stations to help patients check in for appointments
  • The Radiation Oncology Center will remain in its current location in the basement of the Preston Research Building.
  • Volunteers will be on hand to direct you. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions.

Next phases

In March of 2009, the Vanderbilt Breast Center will be moving to 100 Oaks. Then in April, the Infusion Center (Chemo) will move upstairs to the second floor.

Completion is currently scheduled for later in 2009
