Other Volunteer/Service Opportunities

Many people want to be involved at VICC but are not able to volunteer in a traditional weekly or bi-weekly commitment. Other ways to be involved include making hats/turbans/ or scarves for patients undergoing treatment, in addition to providing items listed on the Patient and Family Support Services Wish List. These items are offered to patients during their treatments in order to provide comfort and convenience. Items on the wish list include:

  • Bottled water
  • Canned soft drinks
  • Peanut butter crackers
  • Hot chocolate
  • Apple cider
  • Tea
  • Hard candy
  • Coloring books
  • Puzzles
  • Board games/word games
