About Us

Each year, more people benefit from early cancer detection and effective treatments, leading to a remarkable increase in cure rates. There are almost 12 million cancer survivors living in the US. However, cure is not enough. Cancer survivors may have an increased risk for recurrent or secondary cancers as well as suffer from physical, emotional, or practical issues as a result of their disease and its treatment.

Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt have partnered to create the REACH (Research, Education, Advocacy, Clinical Care and Health) for Survivorship Program as a community resource to meet these unique needs of pediatric and adult cancer survivors and be a “bridge” between the care of a cancer specialist and their primary care doctor.

The program includes the region’s first dedicated Cancer Survivorship Clinic and the only one in the nation that provides services for all survivors, regardless of age at diagnosis, type of cancer or where they received their treatment – all in a seamless, integrated program.
