Research Description

Chemical synthesis of biologically active and architecturally interesting natural products, small molecule tool compounds for application in chemical biology and development of small molecule therapeutics. Natural product of current interest include arachidonic acid metabolites, antimicrobial natural products, and heterocyclic marine natural products.

Design, synthesis and evaluation of chemical probes probes to study ion channel biology (in collaboration with the Weaver lab, pharmacology).
