Research Description

We use epidemiologic methods to investigate the the causes of cancer. This includes several investigations to understand the relationship between diet or obesity affects the risk of breast or prostate cancer. Genetic markers of susceptibility to these cancers are also investigated. Addtionally, we have started work to understand racial disparities in cancer risk, including the possibility that differences in cancer screening practices by race affect disease outcomes.
