Lauren E. Hackett, M.P.A. joined the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in September 2011. As executive director for administration, she plays a critical and integrative leadership role administering the clinical and research enterprises and sustaining the mission of the Center. She has nearly 20 years of experience in administration, most recently at the New York University Cancer Institute, where she served as executive director for administration since 2004. She held similar roles with the Yale School of Medicine and Yale Cancer Center. Hackett serves as the administrative representative for Vanderbilt-Ingram on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Board of Directors, has or currently serves on review panels and program committees for the AACI/CCAF, sits on advisory boards of several other NCI Cancer Centers, and has participated in over 13 NCI site visits. Hackett, who earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, has a Masters of Public Administration from the University of New Haven.
