Call for Increase in M.R.I. Scans for Breast Cancer

A recent study sponosored by the National Cancer Institute and reported in the New England Journal of Medicine calls for greatly expanded use of M.R.I. scans in women who have breast cancer or are at high risk for it. The recommendations are not for healthy women who are only at average risk of developing breast cancer.
