Mid-Florida Hematology & Oncology Centers, P.A. is a three-office, four-physician medical oncology and hematology practice located on the I-4 corridor between Daytona Beach and Orlando, Florida. The practice was founded in January of 1980 with one physician and has grown to include four Board Certified Hematology/Oncology physicians and three mid-level practitioners. Offices are located in Orange City, Sanford and DeLand. The physicians are on staff at Florida Hospital/DeLand; Florida Hospital, Fish Memorial/Orange City; and Central Florida Regional Hospital/Sanford. All major medical insurance plans and Medicare are accepted.
The staff at Mid-Florida offers a full-range of medical hematology and oncology services including access to research and clinical trials, with Dr. Gregory Ortega as the Principal Investigator. Mid-Florida Hematology & Oncology Centers are now the first Florida practice to affiliate with Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center Affiliate Network (Network).
