Dr. Alan B. Sandler, Medical Director, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Sandler is an internationally recognized expert in the field of thoracic oncology and serves as Director of the Vanderbilt-Ingram Thoracic Oncology Program. In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Sandler holds a degree in pharmacy. Prior to joining the Vanderbilt faculty, Dr. Sandler spent 7 years on the oncology faculty at Indiana University where he was the Medical Director of the Thoracic Oncology Program as well as Co-Chairman of the Lung Committee for the Hoosier Oncology Group (HOG).
Jackie Beekley, Administrative Director, is experienced in clinical trials research having served as a Clinical Research Manager for the gastroenterology division at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Her past experience includes nine years of clinical research coordination in the private spectrum as well as Vanderbilt. In addition, Ms. Beekley served as the Education Coordinator for the Vanderbilt Institutional Review Board. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Middle Tennessee State University and a Bachelors Degree in education from the University of Tennessee.
