Making Medicine Work for Each Patient
Modern medicine saves and extends lives, yet all too often, a treatment that works in one patient does not in another. But at Vanderbilt, we are pioneering efforts to "personalize" medicine. No longer will we deliver the “best” chemotherapy to a large population, reluctantly accepting that “best” means we only shrink tumors one-third of the time.
