Dr. Schwartz has been at Vanderbilt since 1987 and is currently the most senior and experienced full-time academic orthopaedic oncologist in the mid-southern United States. There are only approximately 50 such specialists in the country. Referrals from all over the United States and foreign countries are commonly seen in oncology clinic.

Dr. Schwartz is married and has three children (one boy and two girls). His hobbies include: running, baseball, and spending time with his family.
