Rapid On Site Evaluation of Pleural Touch Preparations in Diagnosing Malignant Pleural Effusion in Patients Undergoing Pleuroscopy

This trial studies how well rapid on site evaluation of pleural touch preparations works in diagnosing cancerous fluid in between the linings of the lungs (malignant pleural effusion) in patients undergoing a pleuroscopy. A type of laboratory testing called rapid on site evaluation of pleural touch preparations that uses pleural biopsy tissue samples collected during an already-scheduled pleuroscopy may be able to diagnose malignant pleural effusion.

Quality Improvement Coaching for Increasing HPV Vaccination in Community-Based Pediatric Practices

This trial studies quality improvement coaching delivered in-person or web-based for increasing HPV vaccination in community-based pediatric practices. Practice facilitation, or quality coaching, is a supportive intervention delivered by a trained facilitator coach or team to physician practices to build their internal capacity to carry out quality improvement, implement evidence-based guidelines, and improve patient outcomes. The information learned from this study may help researchers to understand the best ways to support community-based pediatric practices in carrying out quality improvement programs that are focused on increasing HPV vaccination among adolescent patients.

Lower-Dose Chemoradiation in Treating Patients with Early-Stage Anal Cancer, the DECREASE Study

This phase II trial studies how well lower-dose chemotherapy plus radiation (chemoradiation) therapy works in comparison to standard-dose chemoradiation in treating patients with early-stage anal cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as mitomycin, fluorouracil, and capecitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Giving chemotherapy with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. This study may help doctors find out if lower-dose chemoradiation is as effective and has fewer side effects than standard-dose chemoradiation, which is the usual approach for treatment of this cancer type.

Olaparib with or without Atezolizumab in Treating Patients with Locally Advanced Unresectable or Metastatic Non-HER2-Positive Breast Cancer

This randomized phase II trial studies how well olaparib with or without atezolizumab work in treating patients with non-HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread from its original site of growth to nearby tissues or lymph nodes and is not amenable to surgical resection (locally advanced unresectable) or has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Olaparib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as atezolizumab, may help the body’s immune system attack the tumor, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. It is not known whether giving olaparib with or without atezolizumab will work better in patients with non-HER2-positive breast cancer.

Protocol For A Research Database For Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation, Other Cellular Therapies and Marrow Toxic Injuries

The primary purpose of the Research Database is to have a comprehensive source of observational data that can be used to study HSC transplantation and cellular therapies. A secondary purpose of the Research Database is to have a comprehensive source of data to study marrow toxic injuries. Objectives: To learn more about what makes stem cell transplants and cellular therapies work well such as: - Determine how well recipients recover from their transplants or cellular therapy; - Determine how recovery after a transplant or cellular therapy can be improved; - Determine how a donor's or recipient's genetics impact recipient recovery after a transplant or cellular therapy; - Determine how access to transplant or cellular therapy for different groups of patients can be improved; - Determine how well donors recover from the collection procedures.
