Profile

The Woodard Lab engineers gene and cell therapies for kidney regeneration. Throughout my career, I have developed multiple genome engineering approaches with applications in gene therapy including integrase, transposase, and nuclease systems. I have experience in the nonviral gene therapy field with hydrodynamic injection delivery as well as transposons and integrases for gene editing and exosomes for regeneration. I have received the recognition and support of the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy, including numerous presentations, service on the Trainee Committee and as Chair of the Nonviral Therapeutic Delivery Committee, selection as an invited speaker and co-chair for multiple sessions, and an ASGCT Career Development Award.
